Scholarships
University of Santo Thomas Legazpi gives opportunity to financially handicapped students to pursue college education as part of its commitment to outstanding scholastic development. The scholarships and financial assistance are modeled to assist underprivileged but intellectually capable students.
Rector’s Scholarship
The scholarship awarded to studentd who graduated from Senior High School with highest honor. This is given to only one student per board program and is on a semestral basis subject to a retention policy.
- Requirements
- U-CAT result with 85% API or higher
- Senior High School report card with a general weigh average (GWA) of 95% or higher
- Certification of good character from guidance councelor or recommendation from the parish priest
- Certification of good health from the university physician/ practicing physician
- Interview with the Rector and President
- One (1) pice 2″x2″ picture
- Retention
- Obtained a general weighted average (GWA) of 96% or higher and no grade below 92% in any subject
- Currently an officer or active member of any accredited organization in the University
- No subjected to any disciplinary action

Entrance Scholarship
The scholarship awarded to studentd who belong to the first five of each honors category; with highest honor, with high honor, with honors. Ots is open to students in all programs

- Certification of good character from guidance councelor or recommendation from the parish priest
- Certification of good health from the university physician/ practicing physician
- Pass an interview with the Rector and President

Teacher Education Grant
The grant is awarded to taker of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) and Bachelor of Elementary Education(BEEd)
Takes must have a GWA of 85% and above with no grade below 80% in Grade 12

- Certification of good character from guidance councelor or recommendation from the parish priest

- Endorsement of the Dean of College of Arts, Sciences and Education

Sports Scholarship
The scholarship is granted to highly talented student in sports such as basketball, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and athletics. The scholars is open to students in all programs

- U-CAT result with 75% API or higher
- Senior High School report card with a general weigh avarage (GWA) of 82%
- Certification of good character from guidance councelor or recommendation from the parish priest
- Certification of good health from the university physician/ practicing physician
- Endorsement of Center for Sports, Wellness, Culture and the Arts

- Retention
- enrolled in at least 14 units to maximum of 21 units/semester
- Obtained a general weighted average (GWA) of 80% or higher per semester and with no failing grade and dropped subject

The scholarship is granted to covers chorale, dance troupe, threate, band and string ensemble. The scholars is open to students in all programs

Student Assistantship Grant
The Student Assistantship Grant (SAG) is a scholarrship for financially but deserving students The scholars is open to students in selected programs
- Requirements
- U-CAT result with 75% API or higher
- Senior High School report card with a general weigh avarage (GWA) of 83%
- Certification of good character from the parish priest
- Certification of good health from the university physician/ practicing physician
- One (1) original and one (1) photocopy of the latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of the parents or Certification of Indigency or Certificate of Exemption of parents and / head of the family from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
- Certification from the HRMO for passing the interview and apprenticeship

- Retention
- Enrolled in at least 14 units to maximum of 21 units/semester
- Obtained a general weighted average (GWA) of 80% or higher per semester and with no failing grade and dropped subject
- Complete a four-year program in five (5) years or a five-year program in six (6) years

COLLEGE OF LAW
Entrance Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded to college graduates with Latin Honors (cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude) who graduated within the last five years
- Requirements
- Official Transcript of Records or Certification from the dean/head of the school where the applicant graduated with honors
- Certification of good character from the parish priest, employer, or last school attended
- Certification of good health from the university physician or practicing physician
- Full-time student
- Pass an interview with the dean of the College of Law
- One (1) pice 2″x2″ picture
- Retention
- Maintained a semestral general weighted average (GWA) of 85% or higher with no grade below 80% in any subject
- Taken a minimum of 14 units per semester
- Rendered service as student-researcher at the Legal Resource Center (LRC)
- Not subjected to any disciplinary action
- Privileges
- Summa cum laude — One-hundred percent (100%) semestral discount on tuition and selected miscellaneous fees
- Magna cum laude — Seventy-five percent (75%) semestral discount on tuition and selected miscellaneous fees.
- Cum laude — Fifty percent (50%) semestral discount on tuition and selected miscellaneous fees
